In diversen Medien und sozialen Medien kursieren Unwahrheiten über die Nicht-Teilnahme von Ambre Allinckx (16-jährig, CH Nr. 1 der Mädchen) an den Squash Junioren Weltmeisterschaften (JWM) in Chennai, Indien.

Es wird behauptet, Ambre durfte nicht nach Indien reisen, weil ihre Eltern das Land aufgrund von Medienberichten für ein junges Mädchen für zu gefährlich hielten. Zudem wird der Swiss Squash Nationaltrainer Pascal Bruhin zitiert, der dies bestätigt haben soll. Diese Medienmitteilungen haben zur Folge, dass Ambre nun auf sozialen Medien attackiert, gemobbt und schlecht gemacht wird.

Diese Aussagen sind absolut falsch und verleumdend, sie rücken Ambre, ihre Eltern und Swiss Squash in ein falsches Licht. Korrekt ist, dass die Eltern Ambre aufgrund ihres jungen Alters (16) und aufgrund privater Familienpläne Ambre dieses Jahr noch nicht an die JWM schicken wollten. Mit dem Austragungsland hatte dieser Entscheid nicht im Geringsten was zu tun. Ambre kann an den nächsten zwei JWM teilnehmen und wird dies auch tun.

Swiss Squash prüft immer alle Austragungsorte von internationalen Meisterschaften in Punkto Sicherheit und politischem Risiko. Die professionelle Organisation des indischen Squashverbandes und die Gewährleistung der Sicherheit der teilnehmenden Delegationen wurde nie in Frage gestellt. Somit hat Swiss Squash entschieden, eine Delegation nach Indien zu entsenden. Das Ambre an der diesjährigen JWM noch nicht dabei ist, ist aus Sicht von Swiss Squash zwar schade, aber in einer professionellen und nachhaltigen Karriereplanung müssen nicht nur Verbandsinteressen, sondern auch Interessen der Athletin, ihrer Familie sowie weitere Faktoren berücksichtigt werden.

Swiss Squash ruft alle auf, diese Falschaussagen zu ignorieren und vor Allem Ambre auf den sozialen Medien deswegen nicht zu attackieren. Das ist unfair und falsch.

Statement Swiss Squash - Non-participation in the Word Juniors in India 

In various media and social media circulate untruths about the non-participation in the Squash Junior World Championships (JWC) in Chennai, India of Ambre Allinckx (16-year-old, Swiss No. 1 player girls).

It is alleged that Ambre was not allowed to travel to India because her parents considered the country too dangerous for a young girl because of some media reports. In addition, the Swiss Squash national coach Pascal Bruhin is quoted as having confirmed this. As a result of these media releases, Ambre is now attacked, bullied and maligned on social media.

These statements are absolutely false and slanderous, they put Ambre, her parents and Swiss Squash in a wrong light. It is correct that the parents did not want to send Ambre to the JWC this year because of her young age (16) and because of private family plans. This decision had nothing to do with the host country India. Ambre can and will attend the next two JWCs.

Swiss Squash always checks all host countries of international championships in terms of security and political risk. The professional organization of the Indian squash association and ensuring the safety of the participating delegations have never been questioned and Swiss Squash has decided to send a delegation to India. The fact that Ambre is not present at this year's JWC is a pity, but a professional and sustainable career planning must consider not only the interests of the association, but also the interests of the athlete, her family and other factors. Swiss Squash calls everyone to ignore these misstatements and especially not to unfairly attack Ambre on social media. That's not correct and wrong.
